Kids may receive the following stars for the following deeds:
Gold - Straight A's, honor roll, or significant improvement. Silver - Special performance awards. Blue - Monthly themes, weekly lessons, classroom performance. Red - Tournament participation and participation in other sports.

What are the Benefits of Karate for Kids?
- Self Confidence - It doesn't come naturally for many children, but rather is developed over a period of time. As a child accomplishes new goals, his or her confidence level increases. Children become more self
confident in karate because they progress individually at their own pace and are not judged against others.
- Self-Defense - Children's self defense takes many forms. Martial arts teach children to think instead of panic in potentially serious situations as well as how to react to threats from other kids.
- Better Grades - Being a Karate Kid also means being a better student. All kids in the Karate for Kids program learn skills, such as following directions, paying attention in class, and participate in class activities that help them to become better students.
- Every Child Wins - In martial arts, every kid can be a winner instead of a ‘bench sitter’ because taekwondo allows children to reach for their own potential rather than directly competing against other kids.
- Coordination - Martial arts challenge the entire body, developing coordination, balance, agility, and poise... qualities often neglected in many team sports available to children in the age group.
- Fun - Taekwondo lessons are a dynamic and challenging approach to the martial arts for children who are athletic, energetic, awkward, or shy, cold, nice, or maybe even a little wild once in a while.
Because we want to teach our students to be responsible we ask, with parent/guardian approval, that students sign a letter of commitment. This letter is a promise to their instructors and most importantly you, the parent or guardian, that they are serious about martial arts and that they will not use their techniques on friends or family members. The student also promises they will attend class and practice out of class, without any nagging from you. The student also agrees to maintain their equipment and uniform. We understand that karate is an investment of both time and money for parents/guardians. We hope that this Student Commitment letter will help students realize that they need to invest their time and effort into their martial arts training. Click here to see the Student Commitment.
We offer all new students 4 weeks for $49 to see if martial arts is right for you and your family. Please fill out our online information form to get started!
